Kids Fashion Milan | LookBook Piccoletti

Kids Fashion Milan | LookBook Piccoletti

Carolin was a client of mine a few years before she decided to start her own journey and follow her dream of having her own brand of clothing. She is a German beautiful mamma living in Milan and in many ways we are so similar. She left her home town because she met her love in Milan, she is a mom of two and she left her job to follow her dream. But the most important thing is that we became friends. Friends because we are so similar. It’s all about the feeling you have with someone. And with Carolin we have that feeling. At first she reached out to have her family portraits and then she talked to me about her beautiful idea and project and we started organising our first shooting for her website.

This time what i need to share with you is our last shooting that i really worked hard for it and loved it. Carolin decided to prepare her first lookbook for Piccoletti and i was the creative director and photographer.

It wasn’t easy but we were so happy for the result. If you are wondering what a lookbook is, i found a beautiful article that couldn’t explain it better for me. The intire shooting took place in my studio in Milan and it lasted for 8 hours. We had 6 models with us, 2 boys and 4 girls, different ages.

” Think of a lookbook as a visual guide to a brand. In the world of fashion, lookbooks have been an important part of the marketing strategy for many years. Basically, they’re a sort of catalogue that is sent to buyers for them to get an overall feel of the collection. Through lookbooks, designers show potential buyers how their clothes should be worn.

Lookbooks are meant to showcase your products right and centre. They’re the star. This is probably the only time where you’d want the clothes to wear the model and not the other way around. This means that anything else that might distract from the garments needs to be eliminated. Usually, lookbook’s feature very minimal layouts and the models standing in front of a simple background.”
